The Lakefront Film Institute is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) providing hands-on training, mentorship, and career launch opportunities for emerging and underrepresented filmmakers in Chicago, focusing on practical education and industry exposure.

To create a new generation of socially conscious, career-ready creatives who reflect the diversity of the world we live in and are prepared not only creatively—but professionally—for careers in the entertainment industry.
