SYNOPSIS
A high-powered city lawyer’s perfectly planned Christmas—and life—takes an unexpected turn when she’s snowed in on a rural farm with a single father and his spirited autistic daughter.
A Snowbound Christmas is the latest film from Lakefront Pictures, the team behind award-winning inclusive films like The Unseen starring Breaking Bad’s RJ Mitte, and Conrad, starring Blacklist’s Harry Lennix and Eric Roberts.
The film is written and produced by our co-founder Jennifer A. Goodman, who was diagnosed with autism at 18 months old. Jennifer has spent her career creating space for neurodivergent artists and stories, and we’re so proud to be continuing that legacy with A Snowbound Christmas. She took great care when writing this story to infuse it with her lived experience, which gives audiences a real look at many things:
-
What it is to have a bright wonderful child with autism through the character Kassidy
-
A heartwarming holiday romance infused with purpose
She recently spoke at the Autism Speaks Empower Summit as a Changemaker—her words speak volumes about why this film matters.

We’re currently crowdfunding and campaigns that hit 10% of their goal in those first days are far more likely to reach full funding. Your early pledge—no matter the amount—can literally change the course of this film.
Every donation is tax-deductible (through our fiscal sponsorship with the Independent Film Alliance), and 10% of what we raise will be donated to Autism Speaks.
